Fresh fruity
Yume-no-Yume (translated as "The Dream of Dreams"), is a contemporary Japanese incense combined with beautiful Japanese art design. The package design reflects the four seasons in Japanese art style and depict dreamy, peaceful images. Yume-no-Yume (The Dream of Dreams) has a subtle, yet full bodied Japanese fragrance. In Japan, the flow of one season to the next is very subtle, which is why the premonition of the coming season is a very important theme in literature and paintings. In the Dream of Dreams line, these premonitions appear in the forms of flowers, plants, and animals. The images, like the seasons, are at times clear and at others fading out. This soothing incense is created especially to evoke pleasant dreams and to remind us of long forgotten memories.

Spicy, fruity, green!!

I really enjoy the scents in the Yume no Yume line. They're very different from the other lines of incense which Nippon Kodo has to offer. Very complex yet simple blends, if that makes sense. This line also gives off a lot of fragrance with very little smoke.
This particular scent kind of threw me off guard. It smelled fruity in the packaging, but when I burned it, my first impression was "spicy-ish". After burning for several minutes, I could smell a bit of the black currant shining through, and maybe a hint of raspberry, and a leafy green..? It doesn't blast full force with the fruit, but those notes seem to shimmer now and then. It definitely evokes Spring with the fiddlehead ferns gently unfurling in a damp forest, but it also brings forth memories of picking blackberries during Summer.
It is a very nice scent, and it may grown on me more as I continue to use it.

Amazing smell

True to this description, it smells like spring. It’s smells clean, grass-like, and floral, with just the smallest hint of fresh fruit. It’s a shame it only lasts about 20 minutes because if I could burn this for hours, I absolutely would. There’s something soothing in the fragrance, with a great balance of scent.
