Best incense I’ve used so far and I have used quite a bit. Way better than the stuff you buy at Whole Foods

This is my favorite aloeswood incense, bar none. The aloeswood is strong and unforgettable, a pungent ode to the sacred wood. I like this as a heady pick me up when I am stressed or feeling down, it never fails to transport me to a more rarified and genteel world, a poem in incendiary form, its smoke taking us to places where we have only been in our imagination.

This is my favorite high grade kyara incense from Nippon Kodo. Unlike Chinese incenses, Japanese kyara is almost always a combination with other woods and herbs leading to a more medicinal quality. You get the calming scent of kyara along with the refreshing mix of other herbs. This is a less spicy kyara which I like. It's altogether a beautiful fragrance and the scent lingers long afterward.

I enjoyed a lot and even though I'm no aloeswood expert, I can tell this is high quality. All in the series are great quality. Very good value for the price. The packaging is always a part of the experience for me. It is the impressive Japanese style and the artful treat that I've come to expect.
