Natural, understated, and distinctly Japanese, this Juzu bracelet is crafted from Japanese Hinoki cypress, a wood treasured for centuries for its pale grain, gentle fragrance, and important role in traditional temples, shrines, architecture, and crafts.

The smooth 7mm beads are carefully shaped and assembled by Japanese artisans, allowing the natural grain and subtle variations of the Hinoki to remain at the center of the design. Lightweight and comfortable, this bracelet is designed for everyday wear while offering a quiet connection to Japanese material culture and craftsmanship.

Hinoki is especially appreciated for its naturally aromatic character and beautiful grain. With time and wear, the wood can develop a warmer, deeper tone, allowing the bracelet to take on a more personal character. Each Juzu is handcrafted in Kyoto, Japan by Kyoto Kanbe Juzu, whose tradition of preserving Japanese Juzu craftsmanship dates back to 1918.
