…for over 20 years, my favorite incense…I travel with it, cannot be without it…
As with most Esteban incense, this one is on the stronge side for me. It is one that I like but typically burn half a stick at a time, at least it will last me a while.
I didn't entirely expect the scent of Cedar after read the description and accepted the name as just the title of it.
As described it has the sweet notes of the clove, sandalwood and vanilla with balsam, cedar and patchouli balancing it with the woodsy tones.
I would describ it as a sweet earthy scent, as one might with Sweetgrass.
I was hoping this scent would be woodier but it is rather powdery.
I seldom write a review of things unless I really love them or hate them and this cedre is awful. YMMV, and we all like different things. I love woody scents like sandalwood and hoped this cedre would give me something to broaden my range of scents. I wanted to love this one..who doesn't love the smell of cedar? I can't describe the smell of these sticks. Sickly sweet cat urine with a hint of smoke. Best I can come up with. Will not buy again. Does not smell like any cedar wood that I ever smelled and I burned my fair share of cedar trees and while at summer camp and on the farm.
