To my nose, this one smells like sandalwood with just a hint of orange. There is a touch of sweetness, but it isn't cloying. There is no heavy vanilla note here. It's not what I would describe as Amber, but it does have the warmth that one associates with it. A nice, cozy, woody scent that is perfect before bedtime, or when you want to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere.
I was intrigued that this is made in France. It is very sophistocated and not a traditional incense to me. I use it in my living room and it is very pleasant. Nice amber. I do not get vanilla from this which is good as that is not a fragrance I enjoy. Nice. I would purchase again or as a gift.
