Cedar is considered to be a protective and purifying plant. Used in many indigenous traditions, burning cedar is believed to protect against negative energies and commonly used for protection of the home or purifying a new home when moving in. Cedar has an earthy, woodsy fragrance.

How to Use: Light the tip of the smudge stick and gently wave until it begins to smolder and release scent. Blow out the flame and place the smudge on a fireproof plate, bowl, or shell to catch ash. After use, extinguish with water or sand.
