Eases the mind

I’ve used this for years to create a calm space. The beautiful scent lingers and is always there when I return home from the day’s adventures.
A daily treat.

Worth The Price

Aloeswood is my go-to. I don’t think I ever would have found it if not for sending away to Nippon Kodo for their “catalog.” I became intrigued by the various “grades” of Aloeswood. I was astounded by some mod the prices for more prized kinds of Aloeswood. I see now that it does make a difference. The quality of any Nippon Kodo incense is superior to all the others I’ve ever found in retail outlets. No matter what the level, they are all assuredly excellent. But, I am extremely happy for this little splurge. There are 160 sticks in this so if you do the math, it’s a real prize because I got to share some with a friend I have introduced to Aloeswood. And Nippon Kodo. He is now an Aloeswood lover. And so it goes … Incense what Love smells like.

Understated sophistication. Simple elegance. Warm, pleasant tones that suggest rather than overpower. A masterpiece!

Very enjoyable and unique

I am an aloeswood snob. Even so, I find this affordable option very enjoyable. Nippon Kodo excels at perfumery. The aloeswood here is mainly approximated with perfume. I like perfume, so that works fine for me. I find this incense unique and am enjoying it a lot. It is earthy, funky and interesting. It probably will not hold its full scent over the long haul, so I suggest using it up before any perfume artistry starts to fade. (I recommend the same for Jinkoh Juzan. I didn't use it up soon enough.) On another note, I wish NK would sell a sample stick of Kyara Heian so we could test it out. I am very interested in buying a box of that, however, I am not comfortable buying a whole box sight unseen.

Instant favorite

I'm not the kind of connoisseur who has sniffed $2000 oud incense, so I can't compare this to it. That said, I received a free sample of this with one of my orders and became so enamored that I rushed to get a full box.

This has a woody, musky scent that people will either love or find super nasty. I've yet to find anyone who doesn't have strong feelings about it one way or the other.
