Nice, but want more Per box.

The Patchouli smell does linger in the air once done burning, which is nice. I also like the thickness of the stick which it burns a little longer than thinner sticks. Wonder why ALL are not the same thickness? I guess 30 per box instead of 40 per box has something to do with them being thicker than 40 sticks per box? Everything costs more for less. MORE money! More money! WOW! Who likes that? If you like patchouli from the 60's, you will like this!

Good, put overpriced

There seem not to be many straightforward patchouli incense brands out there when it comes to Japanese style incense. The only ones I have found so far are the Morning Star brand(which is cheaply made and of poor quality), and the Mainichi Koh brand. I took a chance on the Mainichi Koh and have found it to have a very good patchouli scent. It's a true patchouli, with no other notes or undertones, which is what I wanted.
It's a bit smoky but not overpowering.
Overall, I really like it, but in my estimation it's overpriced for 30 sticks, though the sticks are thicker than most of the other Nippon Kodo lines. I would be more likely to buy this more often if the price was lower, or if the pack contained more sticks for the price.
It's far superior to the Morning Star, so if you want a higher quality patchouli, I recommend this one.
